Amazon Reviews: Blanket, Steel Slat, Storage, Sea Salt

Insert something here about how much I have purchased on Amazon lately. Or I could just continue and show you the next four items on the list. In case you missed part one, you can find it here.

SE SOFTEXLY Muslin Throw Blanket

SE SOFTEXLY Muslin Throw Blanket

I was recommended this blanket by a friend of mine who said I would love it. It was on sale for $49 from $57, so I thought I would go ahead and give it a shot.

Let me put it this way, it's not that I don't like the blanket, just that I have come across many more blankets I enjoy more at a cheaper price. I feel weird returning a blanket I used, so I'll probably throw it in the back of the car for emergencies. But I would pass on this if I had to do it again.

Olee Sleep 14 inch Heavy Duty Steel Slat Anti-slip

Olee Sleep 14 inch Heavy Duty Steel Slat Anti-slip

Our guest room has always had a nice wooden bed frame. The problem is once we changed the floors to wood, the bed would end up migrating 6 inches to 2 feet away from the wall in the middle of the night.

I finally decided that maybe it was time to make my guest more comfortable and try to fix the problem. I opted for this, threw a bed skirt on, and said that would do. I had guests for 4 days, and they said the bed never moved an inch. Mission accomplished, and for $62, it was done as a steal.

I bought these to utilize my new storage area under the guest room bed. But then we had guests, so I haven't had the chance to use these yet.

Just wanted to give you guys a heads-up in case you were looking for something similar. They feel like they're good quality and should work well. They were $24 for 3 of them.

Maldon Smoked Sea Salt Flakes

Finishing salt is a thing. If you're not using it, you should be. Maldon is the best non-boutique brand out there.

I decided to give the smoked sea salt a try out of curiosity, and I was pleasantly surprised. It's a very subtle flavor that plays nicely with a lot of food. So far, I have put a pinch on salmon, steak, and asparagus. The flavor is just enough to elevate the flavor without overpowering it.

Seriously, give this a shot. At $7, it is super affordable, and your family will love it. But remember, this is finishing salt, don't go seasoning a whole stew with it. I mean, you could, and maybe it would be good, but that's not what I would use it for.

Stay tuned for more . . .
